Do I have to host anything?+

No. Paravox is fully managed by ParadoxLabs — there’s no server, VPS, GPU or Docker for you to run. You install a plugin and we handle the rest.

How much does it cost?+

Just your monthly plan. No hardware, no setup fees and no per-word charges — the price you see is the price you pay.

Do players have to install anything?+

Nothing. The plugin runs on your server and works with voice that’s already flowing. Players just play.

Is voice data private?+

We only receive an anonymised reference — never SteamIDs, which stay on your server. Audio is processed in real time and transcripts are kept only for your dashboard history.

Does it moderate text chat and Discord too?+

Yes — voice, in-game chat and your Discord server all run through one system with the same rules, AI and escalation ladder. Link a player’s Steam and Discord and a mute or ban follows them across every server and Discord at once.

Is the AI toxicity detection an extra cost?+

No. It runs on our infrastructure and is included in every plan — nothing to configure and no per-request charges. It reviews messages your word lists don’t catch and helps calm heated conversations.

Do I have to build my blocklist from scratch?+

No. Pick a preset pack — Essential, Balanced, Strict or Lockdown — and a curated set of slurs, threats, profanity and spam rules loads with one click. Layer them up or fine-tune any rule whenever you like.
